This is Hakim. He is a very unique human for a variety of reasons, but for us he represents the power of random in our lives. We met only because he happened to be sitting in a bar Frank in Tallinn, both of which he visited accidentally, and then someone won a bet in our group. We will tell it all in person in more detail, it's a wild multifaceted story that kicked this off 10+ years ago.

First date, but we don't know it yet. 7 years later after the first encounter of Hakim, he had just introed a fresh Estonian Music Academy graduate student Mariam to the groom and his friend Thomas as "you gotta meet those two crazy ass nutheads in Estonia, they kind of fun".

Almost a year later, first real date weekend in Riga. Sigur Rós live and lots of Art Nouveau.

Oui. Paris (ofc) followed by many weekends magnifiques in a year - Berlin, Zürich-Luzern, Sri Lanka, Italian Dolomites, Iceland, many rounds of Sakartvelo. So grateful for the memories and adventures, and growing together.

Reminder of the fragility of life. Manifestation of random. Here we just a week after hitting a 90kg wild boar at full speed on a Sri Lanka highway at night. Rental car went to cemetery, boar made it into curry for Tamil police forces, and we cherished the moments together even more. Appreciate what you have, here and now.

Taken by surprise on the slope of Amore 69. Took plenty of NLP to get to that slope, but skies cleared and sun came out at the right moment in an otherwise blizzardy day. Plan De Corones, Italian Dolomites.

Trying to master a selfie in 40 mph wind gusts with some icebergs making a cameo. Rainbow Beach, Iceland. This was the last trip of a crazy year of travelling like there's no tomorrow. Our dottir here is still 3 months in the belly.

Fast forward two years from the first dinner...
